Dr. Mitesh Halvawala is a renowned & senior Haematologist & Haemato-oncologist practicing in Surat, Gujarat. Dr. Mitesh completed his graduation in M.B.B.S from the Government Medical College, Surat from 1995-2000. He completed his post-graduation in the doctor of medicine (MD Medicine) from the Government medical college, Surat from 2000-2004.
Fellowship at CMC (Christian Medical College) - Vellore (2007-2009)
Wanting to add value to his already flourishing practice in Medicine, he joined as a Fellow in the Haematology Department in 2007, which is one of the four centers in the country providing advanced diagnostic, therapeutic, coagulation services and stem cell transplantation services, performing 80 to 100 transplants annually including Haplo-identical transplant. He later went on to join as a Fellow at the Department of Transfusion medicine, Immune-haematology, Immune-genetics and Laboratory hematology, 2009. He joined as a fellow in Haemato-oncology at Tata Memorial Centre Mumbai in 2009. Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) is one of the four centers in the country providing advanced diagnostic & research services, therapeutic and stem cell transplantation, performing 20 to 30 transplants annually including matched unrelated transplantation.
During his rigorous training he has attained expertise in the Management of benign blood diseases & blood cancers with chemotherapy.
During his lab posting tenure, he was trained in reporting peripheral smears and bone marrow under the supervision of senior consultants and has acquired in-depth knowledge of all latest cell counters and other coagulation tests.
During the tenure of coagulation lab posting, he has gained experience in diagnoses of hereditary and acquired coagulation defects and Thrombophilia.
